The boys varsity boys bowling team defeated Dr. Phillips Monday by a score of 2596 to 1997. Kyle Paxson led the attack with a 619 series and a nice game of 251. Cory Mullica also had a nice 536 series. The boys never looked back after winning the first game by a score of 859 to 677.
The girls varsity bowling team also defeated Dr. Phillips by a score of 2015 to 1973. Robin Wright with a 483 series and Jennifer Beisham with a 436 series led the attack. The girls looked good the first game and won by a score of 692 to 563. They had to hold on for the win as Dr Phillips bowled a nice 758 last game. “I was really proud of the girls the last game. We are very young and yet the girls bowled well down the stretch when the pressure was applied by Dr. Phillips”, said coach Lanny Kampe.
“Both teams are very young with only one senior starter. Both teams will need to improve if we are going to have a chance to do as well as last year.”
Dr. Phillips had no JV teams.
